Website planning

Start with the right structure.

A website becomes easier to design when the important questions have been answered first: who is it for, what does it need to communicate, and what should visitors do next?

I help turn a rough idea or unclear existing website into a practical plan for the pages, content, navigation, and conversion path.

Website Planning and Structure

Every engagement starts with a written scope: deliverables, timeline, and price agreed before work begins.

What is included

Planning work produces decisions you can read, not a mood board.

  • Website or page audit
  • Audience and message mapping
  • Sitemap planning
  • Page inventory
  • Homepage structure
  • Service-page architecture
  • Content hierarchy
  • Conversion-path planning
  • Wireframes or page outlines
  • Written project direction

Who this is for

  • Businesses starting a website from scratch
  • Site owners planning a redesign
  • Freelancers who need to clarify their offer
  • Educators building course or program pages
  • Founders preparing a first web presence

What the plan settles

Most website problems that appear during a build are actually decisions that were never made. Which pages exist. What the homepage promises. What a visitor is supposed to do. Where the offer is explained. When those are settled on paper, the design work becomes a sequence of clear choices instead of an argument about taste.

The plan also becomes the reference point for the rest of the project. When a new section is proposed later, the question is simple: does this help the site do what we decided it should do?

The outcome

You leave with a clearer understanding of what the site needs, which pages matter, how the content should be organized, and what needs to happen next.
