BarkHood / About

Started by one aspin who hated groomers.

In 2019, Mika's rescue aspin, Kuha, would shake for an hour after every bath at the mall kiosk downstairs. So she trained in Fear-Free handling, rented two corners of a vet clinic on Timog Avenue, and started grooming dogs the way she'd want her own treated: slow, sniffed-out, and never shouted at.

The daycare came from the second problem — owners skipping grooming because a bath day eats an entire workday. The Bark Bus solved the first mile. Today it is eleven people, three routes, and a turf yard that has hosted roughly fourteen thousand very good dogs.

We stay deliberately small. One groomer handles at most six dogs a day. Nobody is ever "washed in a line." If your dog needs two hours of just sitting near the dryer before anyone touches a brush — that's two hours, and it's included.
